Are Black Friday Deals Genuine?

Black Friday deals are as real as your name. While some brands and retailers use flash deals during their sales, most do not use them as the singular deal available for that day.

Most times, what you need to worry about isn't the legitimacy of the Black Friday deals. Instead, you should be in search of the best deals. There are always numerous deals from different retailers and brands that compete with each other, and it is to your advantage that you have these options.

How did Black Friday Start?

Black Friday earned its name as the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the US. It has been tagged the beginning of the Christmas shopping season since 1951 when the holiday officially began. It was initially used as the day workers called in sick after Thanksgiving Day to have an extra day off.

In 1961, there was a movement to change the name from Black Friday to Big Friday or Big Saturday, but this didn't stand the test of time.

Is 2020 Black Friday Going to be Different?

As with everything else that has been different about this year, you can expect Black Friday 2020 to be different as well. Some brands and retail stores began their Black Friday sales as far back as October. Most mortar stores have decided to close shop on November 27, and 90% of Black Friday sales for this year will be happening online.

What does this mean to you as a shopper? You will enjoy a variety of stores to shop for similar products so you can get the best deals. It is necessary for you as a shopper to know that due to delays that may happen due to bulky orders to ship, most orders will be delayed beyond the initial estimated time for delivery.

When is Black Friday, and How Long Will It Last?

Officially, Black Friday starts at 00:00 on Friday and lasts through the weekend until Monday, 30th, officially called Cyber Monday.

However, brands and stores might have different dates and timelines for their Black Friday sales. VOLTA Charger Black Friday is following the official mode; Friday 27th until Monday 30th November.
