- When will this ship? Because this is a pre-order to fund the MOQ, production will begin immediately after this 7-day window closes. We expect to ship all R-Mag orders in Early July.
- I backed the original Kickstarter. Does this affect my order?
No, it does not. All original Mag Adapter orders from Kickstarter have now been 100% fulfilled, and the current R-Mag run is completely separate.
If you have not yet received your Kickstarter order, it may be due to one of the following reasons: your backer survey on PledgeBox was not completed, or the shipping address provided was incomplete or incorrect, which may have prevented successful delivery after multiple courier attempts.

Yes. The R-Mag is fully integrated into the Volta ecosystem. It uses the exact same magnetic connector tips you already own for your Volta Max and Volta 2.0 setups. Simply plug your existing USB-C cable into the bottom port of the R-Mag, and it instantly transforms into a right-angled magnetic powerhouse.
Will the 90-degree angle fit if my phone or iPad has a thick case?
Absolutely. We designed the R-Mag with a carefully measured clearance collar. This extension ensures the magnetic connection snaps securely into place, even if you are using a heavy-duty protective case on your smartphone, tablet, or gaming device.
Does the right-angled design slow down charging or data speeds?
Not at all. The internal architecture of the R-Mag is built to handle the exact same extreme performance as our straight adapters. You still get full 240W Power Delivery for your laptops and high-fidelity data transfer speeds. You are getting better ergonomics with zero drop in performance.
Why is this a VIP Pre-Order and when will it ship?
During our last Kickstarter, hundreds of you requested a right-angled version. To make this a reality without a massive retail markup, we are doing a limited VIP production run to hit our factory Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Manufacturing begins the moment this VIP window closes. We expect to begin shipping these exclusive units to you by early July.
Is the R-Mag safe to use with my Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch?

Can I use the R-Mag for audio and video display output?
Yes. If the Type-C cable you plug into the R-Mag supports video output (like the Volta Max), the R-Mag will seamlessly pass that 4K display data through to your external monitors.
